Geraldine de Bastion ist eine zweisprachige (en/de) Politikwissenschaftlerin mit interkulturellem Hintergrund und Erfahrung in der Arbeit mit Aktivist*innen, Regierungen, Startups und NGOs auf der ganzen Welt. Ihre Arbeit konzentriert sich auf digitale Transformation und internationale Zusammenarbeit, Innovation und Menschenrechte. Geraldine gründete 2013 das Beratungsunternehmen Konnektiv. Konnektiv berät verschiedene Organisationen, darunter das Bundesministerium für Arbeit (BMAS) und das Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ) zum Thema digitale Transformation. Geraldine ist auch die Gründerin des Global Innovation Gathering (GIG), einem Netzwerk von Basisinnovator*innen, sozialen Unternehmer*innen, Gründer*innen und Manager*innen von Makerspaces, Hackerspaces und Innovationszentren. Im Jahr 2018 war sie Autorin und Moderatorin des Arte-Dokumentarfilms "Digital Africa", der viele der im GIG-Netzwerk aktiven Innovator*innen einbezieht. Seit 2012 ist sie Teil des Kurationsteams der re:publica, Europas größter Konferenz zum Thema Internet und Gesellschaft, und organisiert und kuratiert regelmäßig Veranstaltungen im Bereich Politik und Digitalisierung. Geraldine de Bastion is a bilingual (en/de) political scientist with an intercultural background and experience working with activits, governments, startups and NGOs across the word. Her work focuses on digital transformation and international cooperation, innovation, and human rights. Geraldine founded the consultancy Konnektiv in 2013. Konnektiv advises various organisations including the Federal Ministry for Labour (BMAS) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) on digital transformation. Geraldine is also the founder of the Global Innovation Gathering (GIG), a network of grassroots innovators, social entrepreneurs, founders, and managers of makerspaces, hackerspaces, and innovation hubs. In 2018 she authored and moderated the Arte documentary "Digital Africa" which catprures many of the innovators active in the GIG network. Since 2012, she has been part of the curatorial team for the re:publica, Europe's largest conference on the topic of the Internet and society, and regularly organizes and curates events in the field of politics and digitization.
