ANDREA BAUER is a strategist, innovation consultant, and author with a focus on emerging technologies. She is the founder of BEAM Innovation Studio, a boutique business consultancy that creates awareness on how to apply emerging and disrupting technologies to create sustainable innovations and novel processes for a beautiful tech future. In 2014 she co-founded D.DAY Network, a think thank and community of leading thinkers and creators, dedicated to helping aspire and establish a holistic understanding of the effects of our digital era. As an author, she published her latest book „The Krypto Economy“ in 2017, while she published her first book „Trusting in Mobile Payment“ in 2013.
Besides she is a contributor to innovation platforms like CIVICHUB, POC21, or re:publica in the role of a committee member, host, or co-creator. As a mentor she supported aspiring start-ups within the acceleration programs of the startupbootcamp. Her partner network includes OuiShare, PandoraHub, Fab.city, Perestroika, and many other creative and technology collectives.
Her practical work is based on her academic education as an alumnus of University St. Gallen and the University of Arts Berlin. Since 2017 Andrea Bauer is a lecturer in Innovation and Business Design in the master program Strategic Design at the design academy berlin (SRH), where she teaches 'Sustainability and Circular Design' and 'Future Tech'.
