With its Strategic Foresight the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) is already asking tomorrow's questions today. Together with experts, future trends are identified in order to obtain orientation knowledge about possible social and technological developments at an early stage and to enable setting the right course.
On a foray through surprising scenarios, VORAUS:schau ("FORE:sight") presents stories from the future at re:publica. The focus will be on key technologies. The Lecture will introduce Strategic Foresight and show the potential of biotechnology beyond medicine: from synthetic cells as biofactories to biohybrid robots. Further exciting future technologies will be discussed in the Lightning Talk. Members of the Zukunftskreis („Future Circle“) look forward to continue and deepen the discussion on possible futures at our stand.
