On the occasion of the World Water Day Beatriz Waldmann will be presenting the work that NABU has done in the Lake Tana region in Ethiopia, and also give an interesting input about invasive species (i.e. the water hyacinth), climate crisis, circular economy (recycling) and reforesting.

Beatriz has specialised in international water resources management, and is interested in everything that has to do with environmental protection and sustainability. She is currently a project manager at NABU (Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union) and coordinates the project "Water for Life", in the Lake Tana watershed, in Ethiopia. Before that, she worked as a research assistent for the United Nations in Germany and as a consultant for water issues in a Swiss company in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
