If you are from Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Rheinland-Pfalz or Saarland, you can apply for your participation at re:publica 2022 to be recognised as educational leave. Download the confirmation documents at the bottom of this page to use them for your application.

Over three conference days, re:publica offers you exciting keynotes, panels, workshops and knowledge transfer on the current social challenges of our time.
Although the wording is "educational event for vocational and political training", in general all employees (such as trainees/workers/employees/interns/work-at-home employees) are entitled. The application should usually be submitted four to six weeks before the event. The exact regulations are a matter of the federal states and therefore depend on the respective legislation.
If you are supporting us as a volunteer and are registered for the Volunteers Programme, you can also apply for educational leave. Please request the necessary confirmation of registration by email from the Volunteers Team.
Unfortunately, we do not fulfil the necessary educational leave requirements for the following federal states: Bayern, Baden-Württemberg, Bremen, Hessen, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Niedersachsen, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Sachsen, Sachsen-Anhalt and Thüringen. The reasons for this vary from state to state. You can find more information at Bildungsurlaub.de.
However, this does not mean that educational leave is out of the question for you. Just ask your employer, very often there are simple internal regulations making it possible to take educational leave during #rp22 nonetheless.
