Gregor Hagedorn

Portrait of Dr. Gregor Hagedorn

Dr. Gregor Hagedorn studied biology in Tübingen and at Duke University in Durham, NC. From 1992 to 2013 he worked at the Julius Kühn Institute, Federal Research Institute for Cultivated Plants, receiving an interdisciplinary doctorate in biology and computer science at the University of Bayreuth in 2007. Since 2013 he works at the Museum für Naturkunde in Berlin, Germany. His research interests are research data infrastructures for the protection of biodiversity as well as fundamental questions of how the sustainability crisis can be solved, especially regarding natural foundations of life like biodiversity, climate, or soil. In February 2019 he initiated the Scientists for Future movement.
