Dr. Barbara Kieslinger (female) is a senior researcher and project manger at the Centre for Social Innovation, Vienna, Austria. She works at the intersection of science, society, and technology, with a focus on Citizen Science, open science and the relation between technological and social innovations.  She coordinated the Critical Making consortium, who add scientific insights into the potential of the maker movement. Critical Making focuses on critical and socially responsible making, and shows how global maker communities can offer new opportunities for young talents of all genders to contribute to an open society via open source innovation.
