Paola is currently Director of Research and Design at Democratic Society. She has a background in Politics and a doctorate in Design Anthropology. She has been a Fellow at the Weizenbaum Institute working on issues of Digital Sovereignty and Digital Inequality, addressing the question of the impact of digital tools on our democratic lives. She is a visiting lecturer at the London College of Communication and the Technische Universität in Berlin, where she teaches on the topics of design research in the public sector, design for policy making, digital inequalities and digital activism.

The use of data will be crucial in the fight against climate change. But while 'environmental data' is growing exponentially in scope and scale, there is no governance system to ensure environmental data is collected, shared and used for the public good. This talk will present design principles and a roadmap for environmental data governance.
